HOW TO CARE FOR A BABY'S MOUTH

Happy baby cartoon

Eruption of teeth in a baby is one of the first milestones. Extra care has to be taken so that they do not develop cavities. These cavities can develop from the use of pacifiers dipped in honey or nursing bottles used for nap time. Extended use of bottles with milk, formula, and juices should be avoided and replaced with water when you can. After feeding, the baby's gums should be gently wiped with a wet soft washcloth, and any erupted teeth should be cleaned with a soft toothbrush. Incorporating dental care is an important step in your child’s well being.
